I started talking to someone from a dating app and one week of talking he told me he’s moving to another country in less than 2 months. I still went on a first date and we did click and had a good time. I texted him that I think it’s unrealistic to build a foundation, especially this early on, with him being countries away (overseas) in less than two months. Do yall think this was the right decision?

Like should I continue hanging out, him move, build a relationship with someone overseas, then potentially move there?? Like is that realistic? Lol

It was the right decision. Less than 2 months isn’t really enough to build a strong relationship or properly get to know someone anyway so it seems pointless trying.

I think this is completely up to you and how open you are to the possibility of this person/relationship. I know people who met while traveling abroad for a couple weeks or during a short out of town visit who are married now. So it totally can happen, you just have to be open-minded to it. But also completely valid to not want to invest time in someone who's moving away soon, I think that's understandable. I don't think there's a right or wrong way to pursue it, just whatever feels aligned to you.
