What were people’s experiences like when they first started the pill? In the last 2 months my withdrawal bleeds have always come on day 5 of placebo pills and been period-like. I’m on my third month now and all I got was some brown discharge for a few hours and now it’s stopped. Did anyone else have a change like this? My boyfriend and I also always use condoms and pull out too when we have sex.

You may or may not bleed on the break week, and it can be anything from light spotting to very heavy bleeding, from a pale red to a dark brown/black colour. So that’s perfectly normal, as long as you use the pill correctly.
