how do I kindly tell my hubby he needs to take better care of his teeth? He uses a nice electric toothbrush, but he doesn't do much to whiten them and I have been noticing his teeth getting yellow maybe from drinking hot coffee. Is it bad to be judging him on this?

I think it’s sweet that you care about his health and appearance, it shows you’re paying attention and you want him to feel and look his best. It’s not wrong to notice changes, especially when you’re in a close relationship. Just make sure when you bring it up, it comes from a loving place. Maybe you could say something like, ‘Hey babe, have you ever thought about trying whitening strips or switching up your toothpaste? I think it could make your smile even brighter.’ That way, it doesn’t sound like you’re criticizing more like you’re suggesting something helpful. And if coffee is the cause, maybe mention trying a straw or rinsing after. It’s all about the tone and intention

Honestly not everyone cares about this type of thing as its aesthetic and not hygienic. I would point it out in a neutral way in case he hasn't noticed it himself like "hey I think drinking coffee is staining your teeth slightly, it can do that" and if he decides to do something about it from there, that's great and if he doesn't then you know it doesn't really matter to him.

^ white teeth is an aesthetic thing, teeth are meant to be a pale yellow/off white colour, not bright white. If he’s taking care of the health of his teeth that’s the main thing
