My temporary job contract ends next week and I am unsure if I should email the dean my honest thoughts about the woman who was supposed to train me. To cut a long story short she has not trained me whatsoever. She’s lazy, sits in the office most days, comes in whenever she pleases. Makes countless personal phone calls and just sits on her phone. I tried to highlight my lack of training before to management and got told I may have an ‘attitude’ problem. I asked to work with the other lab tech as the person I replaced that’s who they worked with not this woman I was told to work with. I also have emailed 3 times asking if my contract could be extended or made permanent (if yes I was going to say on the condition I work with the other lab tech) and I have had no response each time - which I find incredibly rude and unprofessional lol. So my last day is next week and unsure if I should highlight my concerns about her so the next person doesn’t have to go through this or do I not waste my energy on it?

Unfortunately it sounds like you tried to express your concerns before this and they didn't listen. So normally I would say yes but their track record makes it seem like it's not worth it. Perhaps better to leave a review or something on an independent website for others to read, instead of leaving in a way that could damage your relationship with this employer.

If the dean doesn’t know about any of this info then yeah I would email them about everything. If they are the one you reached out to and got told it might be your attitude then 🤷🏽‍♀️ it sounds like they don’t care. But an email would leave a trace if anything were to happen. So I think I would email. Sorry you such a shitty experience

@stinaaa we have a new dean he joined maybe 2 months ago, so I’m not sure if he knows about everything. So sad it would have been the perfect job!
