Hi everyone!
I’m going on holiday soon to a v hot country and I just wanted some tips for doing make up out there? In the day il be by the pool so won’t bother but I mean for the evening. I want to look like I’ve made some effort but im aware any foundation type produce will just melt off my face.
Any tips would be appreciated

As someone who spent a few months traveling abroad in hot countries, mascara and eyebrows and a bit of jewellery is the most I put on 99% of the time. Paired with a dress or nice top it still looks nice. I only put on concealer, powder, blush, bronzer, eyeshadow etc one time (and that was for New Year’s Eve).

@bluerose9 that’s what I was thinking! I thought if I accessorise my outfits that’ll look good

I agree that less is more when it's hot outside. I typically use just concealer because they tend to last longer than foundations and just focus on a few areas of my face (like dark circles, pigmentation etc) and sort of blend it out into other areas of my face. Natural makeup will wear more gracefully than heavy stuff where you'll see it coming off. For blush/bronzed powder will last longer than liquid or cream. Waterproof mascara could also be good to reduce smugding. I would also avoid extremely creamy or liquid eyeshadows because those will crease faster than a drier powder. I do use setting spray and I think a good setting spray helps your makeup last longer.

Also highlighter is probably not needed because you will sweat and look naturally glowy lol

Depends what kind of hot. In Australia we tend to get very dry hot weather, and makeup typically stays on well (just don’t use foundation because it’s more likely to sweat off). If you’re travelling somewhere humid then I’d probably only do mascara and eyebrows as anything on your face will just drip off lol. Also make sure to defs wear sunscreen!!
