Help!! I need some advice on my current situation. For the past couple of months, I have been experiencing random phases where I have frequent urination. However, a couple of days ago this started happening again but this time it’s accompanied by pelvic pain. My anxious brain jumps to the thought of me being pregnant, however, I am a perfect pill user and have never missed a pill, I also usually skip my break weeks and continue onto the next pack. I also then thought that maybe it’s a UTI, however, there is no pain when I pee and no funky color. Have any of you guys also experienced this? Should I go to urgent care?

It might be interstitial cystitis. It happens to women sometimes. I don’t think there’s a cure but it can be treated. It’s not like an STI or STD, it’s kinda in the realm of endometriosis. Still definitely worth a doctor visit. If you have an OBGYN I’d recommend making an appointment.

i would get checked for a UTI also, you can have some symptoms of it but not all and still have one

Get your urine checked for UTI, I had one once where it wasn’t accompanied by any pain. Better to be safe than sorry

@Guinevere_ if my urine test comes back negative I will definitely check into my OBGYN because the symptoms almost perfectly line up with what I’m experiencing.

@Guinevere_ my urine test from today came back negative on everything so they are sending it to a lab for further testing. So hopefully they can tell me if anything is wrong. Thank you so much for the concern and advice!

The criteria for seeing a urologist in regards to interstitial cystitis is if you have 3 or more UTI’s in a year. If you are only experiencing frequent urination but don’t have pain or UTI symptoms then it’s most likely contributed to your diet and water intake. I have IC and believe me, it’s painful, inconvenient, and you’ll absolutely know something is wrong.
