Hi! 😄 Does anyone on the combined pill skip their break weeks? I’ve been skipping my break week for months now (taking packs back to back) and I really like it. I have a more consistent mood and appetite, no bleeding or strong cramps, less breakouts and only occasional spotting. I was wondering if I can keep skipping the breaks? There’s different opinions from different people, some say it’s important to give your body a break and some say the break weeks are unnecessary as it’s not a “real period” 🤔

There’s no medical or health reasons for the break weeks, it’s literally just to mimic the natural cycle to make it more socially acceptable and more familiar/comfortable I guess for people to take it. So do whatever works for you, just make sure you have access to enough packs to account for the extra pills!

I have been skipping my breaks for several years now, there's no harm in it.

My doctor actually advised me that I didn’t have to take the break weeks when I first started so I think it’s all good!

I was thinking on doing this but thought the break weeks give your body a week if you understand what I mean? Ig I am gonna try this month to just get the new pack and not take the break lmao

@Nunix just an FYI that skipping break weeks is not guaranteed to prevent bleeding and for some people, sometimes skipping break weeks actually leads to experiencing unwanted side effects like irregular bleeding, cramps, sore breasts etc
