Hey! So I’ve been on tri lo Millie for the past 4 years and I’ve always had consistent bleeding on 4th day of my placebo pill. It has always been VERY heavy. In August I was unprotected so took a plan B which shifted my next cycle to “bleed” on Tuesday. Then since then it resulted to normal. This time my “bleeding” is a lot lighter which is very abnormal for me. I was wondering more insight about it. I know the bleeding can vary but this is the first time it has been abnormally light. On another note I was wondering what’s the key indicator between “birth control bleeding that simulates a period” vs implantation bleeding. Thank you for any info!

Plan B can affect your body for months. And it’s as you said: bleeding can vary. You’re not a machine and you’re not always going to be bleeding on the same day with the same flow. You could go years without bleeding and be completely fine. Bleeding (or lack thereof) while on birth control doesn’t mean a thing. If you’re using your birth control correctly you can rule out implantation bleeding; and implantation bleeding is really rare in the first place.
