whoever stopped taking birth control, what were your side effects after you stopped + when did it go away?

I personally had no symptoms, other than my acne coming back and my periods being a little irregular (2+ years later I still have these things and I expected that as that’s the way I was before I was on the pill)

I was on the pill for one year to help with acne and irregular periods. I’ve been off for a little over a month now. I got my period today, and I’m having the worst cramps I’ve ever had as I’m typing this 🫠 My acne came back + my skin is more oily, my mood has been down, and my breasts have been sore

@bluerose9 how did you deal w the acne and how long did it last ?

@mxflo I still have it lol I’ve had acne I was 11, my skin has literally never been perfect since then. The pill helped a lot but still didn’t get rid of it 100%.

@bluerose9 how was the acne that came back? Was it worse? A bit better than before? (Sorry, i’m so paranoid - i am so traumatized by my acne before so) … How are you dealing with it also?

@mxflo it basically went back to how it was before I started the pill, probably slightly better than before I started. I’m now off the pill over 2 years and it’s definitely better than before now

I drink a lot of water, pretty active (walk a lot, gym 2x a week), change my pillow cases very often and am very regimented with my skincare routine, but have been doing all that for years. I’ve found a couple of products in the last year or so that I think work really well with my skin. And I’m late 20s now that probs is a factor too
