If I take a shorter break than necessary, (eg. 5 days instead of 7) does it matter if I’ve taken 7 pills in a row after my break to be protected? Or is it less because my break was shorter x

Not quite sure what you’re asking but if you use the pill correctly you’re always protected, including break weeks and the first week of new packs. A shorter break doesn’t change that.

If I understand you correctly, no it's not less if your break is shorter. If you miss more than one pill in the 7 days after a break, no matter the length, you are still unprotected. This is because you need 7 consecutive pills to protected. So if you take at least 7 pills, then take a break (of any length) that interrupts the streak of 7 consecutive pills. So while you're still protected after a break (you don't have to wait for 7 pills to be protected again) if you take ANOTHER break before getting those 7 pills, like missing 2 or more, you would not be protected.

The only time you’re unprotected when starting a new pack is only when you’ve first started birthcontrol IF you take your pills correctly

Hi! I take Rigevidon and the pack says to take a 7 day break, however my doctor recommended to take a 4 day break to ensure I am always protected. Also, she said I could take 3 packs without break as long as I take a break after the 3rd pack. I think you’re probably okay!
