Help!! Just had sex with my boyfriend, I took an active pill yesterday but tonight I’m on the sugar pills and do not have access to any active ones until tomorrow. Am I still protected during the sugar pill week? If not what do I do. Ps. If I still get my period does that mean I’m not pregnant? Pleases and thank yous ❓⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️💊⚠️💊💊💊🔶💊💊💤💤 Brand: Levlen ED

@Pilluser1936 if you have taken your pills correctly and on time, you are protected during your break week, and it’s not a real period so even if you don’t get it it won’t mean your pregnant. your pill will protect you xx

@bluey1234 I took them correctly and on time (mostly) for this pack, I was told I wasn’t protected off the pill and I freaked out!!

@Pilluser1936 if you wouldn’t be protected during your break then there would be no point in taking the pill in the first place, try not to stress because i’ve found that’s made my withdrawal bleed come late or not come at all!

@Pilluser1936 your welcome girl! however if you’re anxious that you may still get pregnant on the pill i recommend using condoms as well! that’s what me and my bf have started doing just because i also worry about getting pregnant 🫶🏼

the bleeding is a withdrawal bleed so has no correlation with pregnancy! so if you don’t bleed, it doesn’t mean you’re pregnant and vice versa x

If you used your pills correctly and start your new pack on time after your break, then break weeks are protected. Your bleed doesn’t tell you anything, all you need to know for protection you can determine by your pill usage.

@Pilluser1936 i think it would be pointless but if it would put your mind at ease to do a pregnancy test then you could

@Yi_eune I looked it up and it said “Well, there are some benefits of withdrawal bleeding. One is just peace of mind. Because you won't see any withdrawal bleeding if you're pregnant, some people find that having a monthly check-in can be a big relief.” Is any of that true? Most sources I’m using say it can be used as an indication of pregnancy

It is kinda true tho?? Like if you have heavy severe bleeding it’s pretty likely ur not pregnant or if u were it’s passed ? Like if your pregnant and bleeding it’s something to worry about so it’s probably a decent sign your not. Obviously it doesn’t always mean no pregnancy is there, but if a heavy bleed occurs it’s pretty likely ur not pregnant

@hellok1tty it’s unlikely to be pregnant with a heavy bleed, but it doesn’t rule it out. All that you should rely on is that you use your birth control correctly, as that will give you the answer you need.
