Hi just looking for a bit of reassurance really. I swapped my pill from microgynon to desogestrel maybe a month and a half ago and I had a ‘period’ about a week after starting my new pill. It stopped after 6 days and I haven’t bled since. Until yesterday evening when I noticed some spotting. And then this evening again I have spotting again after being fine all day. I also took a pregnancy test about a week ago just because I thought I should have being on a new pill for about a month just to be sure and it was negative. I know they say the POP can cause irregular bleeding but I just wanted some reassurance on what the irregular bleeding might be like. My main concern is that it’s going to go on for ages and not stop. Just wondering what other people’s experiences have been like with the irregular bleeding. Brand: Desogestrel

normal, i did the same swap and am on the same pill and irregular bleeding is so normal on this pill, i can’t tell you what your experience will be like, only mine. for me i didn’t bleed for the first 6-7 months, and then bled for three days a month for 5 months, bled for a month straight, didn’t bleed for 2 months and had 3 days again and haven’t bled since.
