My nurse told me that I didn’t need to take a break anymore but when I spot I should take a 4 day break. So I took my 4 days and then took my pill again on the Monday. It’s now the next Saturday and I’m still spotting. Will it stop? Why is it happening?

Breakthrough bleeding can happen at any time. Taking a short break can sometimes stop spotting but it's not guaranteed

Just happens, nothing to worry about.

@aurielle @Yi_eune thank you! Do you think it will stop eventually or should I go back to taking my 7 day breaks?

@shrek101 it’ll stop eventually, might just take a while

How long have you skipped breaks for? After 3 months of skipping side effects like spotting tend to reduce or stop as your body gets used to not having or having fewer breaks

@Awg1 skipped for about 3-4 months but it was the first time I had done it for that long

@shrek101 as it was the first time you had done it for that long your body just isn’t used to it you should take a break of either 4 or 7 days whatever your preference is and then you can continue to take it back to back after a while your body will become used to not having a break for a long time and you will probably be able to go longer without breaking through i ususallly go 5 or 6 months without breaking through
