So whenever you take 7 consecutive active pills of a combined pill it's enough hormones to "shut down" ovulation for 7 days.

yes it’s just not enough time for ovulation to occur. that’s also why missing a pill right before/after your break week is the most risky, it gives your body extra time to ovulate

Amazing! So I’m still totally protected with having sex during my “break week” as long as I haven’t missed any previous pills and I take my new pack on time
