TW : weight talk - - - - - - - - hi! i have weighed the exact same amount for 5 years, always about 183. i want to lose maybe 25-40 lbs before the summer time. unfortunately i currently don’t have a ton of time for a significant gym routine as i make money through driving and work a ton. i’m curious for tips on key exercises to focus on that i could fit into a 30-ish minute routine in my home, and some diet tips that may work for my lifestyle. i have no issues with changing my diet at all and am very open to different foods, cooking etc.

As someone who has done so many different diets to loose weight and also gain weight my best advice is to keep it simple! Find out through online websites what your maintenance calories are you can do this through calories calculator or whatever my fitness pal is also great as you can enter how much u would like to loose over a certain period and it will give u a calorie goal. Stick to whole foods bulk up your meals with extra veg so you don’t find your being hungry and binge, you also don’t need crazy workouts to loose weight it’s mostly your diet so walking and cardio for 30 mins is good also ensure to stay hydrated, I think the best way to approach it is keep it simple and don’t jump into the deep end also listen to your body please don’t restrict yourself from eating good food and the right amount!

@annakin_ thank you for all this great advice!! my one struggle is not so much being hungry and overeating, but i eat mannnyyy small portions through the day and it’s more-so a mental thing than actually feeling hungry. i’ll think “oh that would be good i should eat that tomorrow” and eventually cant stop thinking about it and end up making it then. do you know of any way to help that, maybe replacement habits that work well?

Idk if this may help but I would be like that to where I can’t stop thinking about a certain food to meal then I cave in lol, although I’ve started seeing it as something to look forward to and it acc being a treat for example if I wanted a takeaway throughout the week I would stick to my goals maybe try excerise a bit more so I know at the weekend I’ve earned that certain meal or aswell I just move more! If I wanted a takeaway at the weekend that day I would maybe save some calories and go on a walk and the gym so I can enjoy a treat after without going over my calorie limit if that makes any sense. Also exercising before say a takeaway helps as your body can acc put the carbs, calories and proteins to good use to refuel and repair your body
