I’ve always wondered if I’m truly protected if I have sex an hour before I have to take my pill. Assuming I’ve been taking pills on time & had no user error. Like, would that hour before not be enough time for fertilization? Just my thoughts lol

Until you’ve missed a pill or something has interfered with your pill’s effectiveness you’re still protected. Even then you can safely miss a pill anywhere in the pack on a combined pill without your protection being affected.

No because taking your pill consistently maintains a high enough level of hormones at all times to prevent ovulation. It doesn't start working only after you take the pill.
