My S/O's parents already have everything they could possibly want lol so I tend to get them personalized gifts like framed or canvas printed photos of us. Or this year I'm making his mom and aunts handmade jewelry. You could also bake something if that's up your alley.

I find handmade things are always the way to go! I am crocheting hats for guys and winter headbands for girls in the man I’m seeings family.
If you aren’t so crafty, baskets are always great! You can find a cheap basket at the thrift store or dollar store, and fill it with lots of little goodies. I always recommend including local and handmade items — totally goes the extra mile!
