I just had a look at my NHS app at my prescription this is the note "Rigevidon tablets (Gedeon Richter (UK) Ltd) 63 tablet - can be use continuously no need to stop or if stop not b4 21 pills and stop for 4d only" i find the 4 day pause very confusing; is that a regular thing before i had that prescription issued i did the normal pill packet and then the 7 day break. I haven't followed this as i didn't notice it until now. if at all relevant i bleed 4 days into the pill break. 💊💊💊💊💊💊💊💊💊💊💊💊💊💊💊💤💤💤💤💤💤💤💊💊💊💊💊⏱ Brand: Rigevidon

4 day break weeks are now preferred by medical professionals as human error (such as forgetting to start a new pack on time) is the biggest reason the pill fails and break weeks are the riskiest time to miss a pill. Shorter break week means if you forget to start your new pack for a day or two, your protection isn’t affected.

I normally take 21 pills then have a 7 day break week but I’m good a starting it on the day I should. I also start a new pack on a Monday after having a break so I understand what you have been doing. I think it would be personal preference it you do a 4 day week break instead if you are good at taking it on the right day. Hope this helps

As @bluerose9 said it’s better to do 4 day breaks (ideally every three packs rather than every month) or skip entirely. Even if you always remember to take it on time you may get sick which can affect it. This is a nice & reliable article explaining it {OtxBULNu7}

@Awg1 I’ve just had a quick read through the article, that so for the help. I some times take 42 pills then a 7 day week break but have I a pill appointment soon so may ask doctors about it. Thank you for the help
