If I missed the first pill in my new pack and took it 15 hours later but did not have a break week the week before and just started a new pack after finishing my last one, am I unprotected completely even though I have been taking the pills and did not have a break week before stating this new pack. I feel like I should be protected since I did not have a break week but maybe not.

I believe you can count that missed day as your break, as long as you took your pills correctly for the 7 days before that. Check your pamphlet to be sure. I didn’t vote because I wasn’t sure if you were asking if you were, or weren’t protected.

You’re fine. Combined pills actually have a 24 hour window, not 12, so that doesn’t count as a missed pill anyway. Even if it was you would have still remained protected
