In your opinion, is it a green flag or a red flag if a couple does most of their hobbies/activities together (e.g. joining clubs or a gym or socializing with friends together.) On the one hand, I think it's good that they enjoy each other's company and see each other as friends and not just romantic partners. On the other hand it's healthy to have some separation and independence in a relationship. What do you think?

idk, like if a couple goes to the gym together or joins the same clubs or whatever, that can be nice. it’s like you’re both working on yourselves but you’re doing it side by side, so it feels more like a team thing than anything else (speaking from experience). but i do think there’s a really thin line between that and codependency. like if it gets to a point where you can’t do things separately or it feels wrong to have your own friends/hobbies, that’s when it gets a bit blurry. you should still have your own identity outside the relationship. so i dont think it’s automatically good or bad i just think it depends on the intentions behind it i guess?

@onthepillxo you worded it beautifully. I don’t think it’s any colour of flag per definition. Different things work for different people and some couples tend to do more things together but that doesn’t automatically mean it’s a bad thing or “red flag”. It definitely requires a lot more context than just doing hobbies/activities together.

I think couples should have activities together and apart just a good balance In my relationship I don’t like spending to much or to little apart as personally I would get overwhelmed or bored it has to be the perfect balance but every relationship is different you must find your perfect balance so no one gets irritated or lonely don’t wanna let the spark fizzle but don’t want the flame to burn everything down
