My GP has been going through a merger this week so I haven’t been able to order a new prescription until today. The issue is my cycle starts today, when I’d usually take a pill. I guess I’m asking if it’s okay to just start it later (when I pick my prescription up in a few days) and just be really safe when it comes to sex? Did you take a 7 day break? If so, and you start your pack a few days late, you will need to wait until you've taken 8 pills before you're protected again. In terms of messing with your body you might get some side effects or you might not.

So you would be starting a new pack today? If you can’t get it for a couple days and you were supposed to start today you will be unprotected and you will need to use a backup form of contraception like condoms, you might get more side effects because of this, you will also have to be mindful that you will have to wait 7 full pills after starting to be protected again

I’m not sure if you had sex during your break week but that would also be considered unprotected
