I’ve had a long journey when it comes to contraception. I’ve tried the implant, coil/IUD (Mirena), Rigevidon, Cerazette and now just started Slynd today. I’ve experienced constant bleeding for all so far and now trying Slynd after being recommended by a doctor. I bled constantly for about 3-6 months with the implant and the pills and about 10 months with the IUD. I’ve been to the doctors about the constant bleeding but they don’t know why it’s happening. I’m thinking maybe it’s a hormonal imbalance but I am unsure. I want to be on contraception as I am very sexual active and it’s safer for me to be on it as it gives me peace of mind. Anyone had similar issues? If so, what did and didn’t work for you?

I have no words of wisdom but I’m in the same boat as you, I just started on Marvelon - I’m a month in and it’s going well so far, I’ve just had my first break week and only had very light bleeding which stopped within a week. I bled for 2 years on the implant so it’s a lovely feeling to know the bleeding will stop. It’s a constant trial and error with contraceptives unfortunately, fingers crossed you find one that works for you soon!

I start Slynd today too. Also after heavy bleeding constantly on other birth control methods! Wishing you the best!

@Silly_Tilly_ if Slynd doesn’t work for me then I might give Marvelon a go next. Thanks for the suggestion x
