Did I mess up? 😅 My fiancé and I got a wedding save the date from our friends so I texted a different group of friends being like "[this couple] is confirmed having a wedding!" (they legally got married a year or two ago but never had a wedding.) One person in the group texted how do you know? And I'm like..because we're invited....and now I'm worried that they somehow aren't invited and I just alerted them to the fact that they're excluded. I honestly assumed they were all invited because we're all part of the same friend group and I didn't think my fiance and I were particularly closer to this couple than anyone else. Can't help but feeling this was maybe a big faux pas, should I feel bad for my lack of discretion here?

I wouldn’t feel bad! They would’ve eventually found out that they weren’t invited by other friends or once they got married.

Understandable why you feel that way but honestly I don’t think it’s that big of a deal, even if they’re not invited those people will find out about the wedding anyway at some point 😅

It’s not that big of a deal, just because you’re part of a friend group doesn’t necessarily mean everyone gets invited. You’ll still need to be close to the couple and if the only time you interact is through the friend group then it’s understandable they didn’t get invited to this private event.

@Lemongrass_ @bluerose9 that's what I was thinking too, they will eventually find out I just slightly wish I wasn't the way they found out lol.

I mean there's also a slight chance their save the date got delayed in the mail lol fingers crossed for that.
