Hi, I’m just wondering if anyone here has tried other birth control options like the iud or the arm implant? I’ve been on the pill for so long but in the last few years I developed gastritis and have flare ups every now and then so being that my stomach can be unpredictable I’m thinking about trying a new method that doesn’t involve having to keep a pill down. I’m afraid to try something new so I’d just like to hear some insight on other options if you guys have any

I swapped to the implant just under 3 years ago, so I am due a replacement soon and it’s the best thing I’ve done

Did you have any side effects at all? And how does it feel to have that in your arm like are you aware of it?

@Manda0810 I had some bruising from insertion and had some headaches at the start but since then I’ve barely had anything. I’ve breakthrough bled a total of a week over 3 years and had no other bleeding. You aren’t aware of it but it’s important to check on it every now and then to see if it’s still in position. So if you’re grossed out by the thought of grabbing something under your skin it might not be for you
