Okay question, so I am on combination birth control and I’m a little worried. I have never ever missed a pill and usually take my pill at 10:30. But sometimes I take it in the timeframe between 10:30 and 12. Does this mean I am not a perfect user? I know the combination pill has a 12 hour timeframe however I see people say that even taking it an hour later then usual can make it less effective?

Taking it an hour later does not affect the effectiveness of the pill, as long as you take it in that 12 hour window you are a “perfect user” granted there isn’t any external factors that would affect the pill

I don’t know where you saw that but it’s entirely false.

^ taking it within your pill’s time frame and accounting for things that can affect the pill’s effectiveness (sickness, certain medications, St John’s wort) counts as taking the pill perfectly. An hour or two makes zero difference
