would switching to a birth control patch after using the pill for nearly a year improve my life (in the terms of ease and possible aid with pmdd)

Good question to ask your doc!! I have an IUD and PMDD. My doc told me that the pill would be the best option for me to manage the pmdd but I simply am not reliable enough to take the pill daily lol. So I’m now on Zoloft!

I was on the patch for a few years and loved it, the only reason I switched off it was because when I turned 26 I was getting kicked off my dads health insurance (not by him, by the insurance company because in the US you can only be on your parents until 26). It was nice not having to worry about a pill every day and if there were times I was sick with vomiting or diarrhea it was great to not worry if my protection was going to be impacted.

Hey girly my SIL has PMDD & was on Zoloft & so was I & my husband. But Zoloft made us more anxious & I ended up scarring myself from the anxiety & stress. I have scars all over my right arm. I now take homeopathic stuff for anxiety & my SIL is currently trying CBD gummies for her anxiety. She did the patch as well & had an IUD but got off the IUD because it made her gain a lot of weight; then In between that did the patch & liked it but she was a newlywed & somehow between switching birth control methods got pregnant with her daughter who is now 8 & she has been off & on the pill but no more babies yet 😂 she’s 32 now & got pregnant at like 23
