I need some advice. I’m taking birth control, but I’ve also just been prescribed both topical and oral antibiotics for a mild ear infection. I’m just worried that because I had sex yesterday, if I take the oral antibiotics today I’ll lose protection from the pill and potentially be at risk because sperm can survive for up to 5 days. I was thinking of waiting 5 days until starting the oral antibiotics as the topical antibiotic has significantly reduced the infection already. What should I do?
