Hii ◡̈ I got my first UTI and i was prescribed Cefdinir. I took my last pill today! Are the antibiotics going to affect my birth control? How long would it take to be protected from pregnancy? Thank you!!

Is it possible you can call a doctor? If you were to be unprotected it would take 7 days (8pills) to remain protected again.

Antibiotics for UTI’s don’t interact with your pill. The only way it would affect your pill is it causes you to throw up your pill or you experience excessive diarrhea.
