i had a doctors appointment today and got a few vaccinations. one of them being the meningitis vaccine. is it normal for it to hurt pretty severely? i can barely move without intense pain. i took a bath, took tylenol, have a heating pad on it. nothing seems to be helping.

when i get vaccines it also tends to hurt pretty badly. your muscles are essentially being stretched which triggers an immune response- sending pain signals to your entire arm as well as where your vaccine is travelling. it’s normal for it to hurt, but if it hurts super badly for more than 48 hours then i suggest going to the doctors or emergency. just give it some time and i hope you feel better ❤️‍🩹
