I was researching lymph nodes and how to check for them so I was was just checking my body but I can’t tell if I was some on my groin or if they are veins/body parts that I feel. Could anyone that’s tried checking themselves tell me if there are little bumps down there such as veins etc or if they are lymph nodes

when i lie down and feel kind of the veins in my groin i feel little balls, pretty sure it’s just a body part, but im really not sure!

@dobson16 omg yeah this is exactly what I feel and I can’t work out of its lymph nodes or just like weins. I have to press kinda hard down to feel the little balls

@Me30 yeah i don’t have it anywhere else and it’s not noticeable or swollen, it just feels like tissue xx if you are concerned though it doesn’t hurt to see a doctor x

@dobson16 yeah mines not noticeable or swollen but it feels odd to press on. yeah I think I will just at the moment our doctors only take really urgent cakes and I don’t think this is urgent lol I’ll probably forget about it by the time everything reopens lol x

I’m confused why you’d go to the doctor for this?? Everyone has lymph nodes. They’re part of the lymphatic system and help with immunity. It’s only a concern if they’re swollen or tender which you said they’re not so you’re fine. Don’t freak yourself out.

@cbluejean well when i first found mine i was concerned because i didn’t know what they were, there’s nothing wrong with getting a medical consultation if you’re worried because there could be something wrong, that’s what doctors do? no need to be rude.

@dobson16 I’m not really sure how I was being rude? I was just reassuring her that non swollen lymph nodes aren’t something to be worried about.

Also it's not the best time in the current situation to be making unncecessary doctor's appointments
