Ask your doctor about pain management prior to your appointment

I got it less than a month ago, my doctor did not offer anesthesia of any kind so I got a prescription for muscle relaxant, an anxiolytic (lorazepam) and anti inflammatory medication (not ibuprofen- a stronger one) and I can tell u it didn’t hurt at all, also I had vaginismus for up to 6 months ago ( I got treatment) so u can see it doesn’t need to be painful. Also I got the Kyleena IUD, is a bit smaller and usually used for girls who haven’t had kids yet, not sure if that was one of the factors why it didn’t hurt as well :) good luck on yours!!

Yea I don’t feel it right now and in my case is much better than the pill I was taking bc you don’t have to keep track when u took and all of that
