Hi all, just wondered if anyone had ever experienced infertility or struggles after long periods of time consistently on the pill. I know this isn’t a side effect as I was told by doctors when starting the pill but just wondered what it would be like eventually when I do come off it to have children. I’ve been on for almost 3 years now with a tiny break and I take my pills for 3 months then have a break week, but just wondered if anyone’s encountered any issues coming off eventually in regards to fertility Thank you Brand: Gedarel 30/150

No hormonal contraceptive method has been linked to any form of infertility. The injection/Depo shot may potentially delay fertility as it may take longer for normal periods to return after stopping it compared to other methods, but there has been no evidence of long term effects

Unfortunately since most people don't try to get pregnant before going on birth control, any preexisting fertility issues don't surface until they come off it
