I have been on Estelle for 3 months now , I suffer with migraine and I’ve been to the doctors who basically told me I can’t be on any other pill , has anyone else dealt with this too? 💊💊⚠️💊‼️💊‼️💊‼️💊❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌💤💤💤💤💤💤💤‼️💊⏱

You could switch to the mini pill.

You cannot be on any pill other than Estelle because of migraines? That makes no sense. Do you have migraines with aura?

Generally users with personal or family history of high blood pressure and or blood clots/stroke and bad migraines, particularly migraines with aura, are on the progesterone only pill aka the mini pill

Sorry I meant to add that ^ this is the only pill type that I’ve ever heard people having no option but to be on for medical reasons (and even then there’s now 2-3 types of this pill). I haven’t heard of anyone needing to be on specific combined pill brand with no other option available to them. Estelle is actually one of the highest (if not the highest) dosage pills on the market and for that reason is actually the riskiest pill to be on. I was on that pill too (well a generic version called Diane 35, but the same thing essentially), I was put on that pill for acne and my doctor was very clear about that pill only being prescribed to people for acne, PCOS or other health reasons and was not an option for people looking to use the pill for contraception only. I was only allowed stay on it for 2 years because of the health risks. So I’m confused why you’ve been told it’s your only option as the medical information I’ve received on this specific pill is contradicting the advice you’re getting. I would recommend getting a second opinion.

I have had occasional migraines with aura, no idea why, but when i brought it up to my doctor she told me she wasn't concerned about it... but it can lead to many issues. i would 100% look into POP aka progesterone only pill!! it's a lot safer but it does have a stricter time window for taking it!
