tw/ endometriosis/cervical cancer can fibrosis cause infertility? i was in the hospital for a car accident and got a scan of my abdomen for any injuries i was fine but she told me she saw fibrosis and recommended i go see a gynecologist. i do have heavy periods but always have thought it was just normal for me since it’s always been that way and it’s pretty painful but only on the day before and first day then i feel normal the rest of the days and my periods are 5 days, always regular. so i really never thought id have anything wrong. though i started 3 days early today for some reason… im booking an appointment with a gynecologist soon but ive been stressing about the fibroids and worrying myself about possible endometriosis as my aunt had it and also had cervical cancer and had a hysterectomy.

Hi there! I was diagnosed with endometriosis and was told that depending on the severity of it, I might have trouble conceiving. That’s not to say it’s impossible, many people I know who have it were able to have children, even when doctors told them they were unable to have kids at all. I can’t speak on the other topics, but that’s my experience for endometriosis!

I understand your concerns and they are valid, but you are also jumping to the worst case scenario. Take a deep breath and write down a list of questions to ask your gyne so when you’re at your appointment you don’t forget anything. Tell them about your concerns. In my country you can’t even get a pap smear until you turn 25 unless you’re referred for a specific reason so you’re ahead of the game there. Best of luck xx
