I am on the pill and on my 4 day break. I am on day 3 of my break and I haven’t had a bleed yet and I normally get a bleed by the latest day 3. I have had unprotected sex this month and I am worried that I am pregnant. I have symptoms of my period coming such as a headache and cramps. Do I need to do a test?

If you’ve taken your pills properly there is not really a need for a test, you’re never scheduled to bleed while on birth control as your body is not a robot, not having a bleed doesn’t mean pregnancy. Keep in mind your birth control is a form of protection, so you didn’t have unprotected sex.

Do you have an actual reason to be worried about pregnancy? Did you mess up?

No I have been careful and he has pulled out every-time but I always get worried that there could be a chance. I have taken my pill at the same time everyday

Pulling out doesn’t do anything by the way, so if you don’t trust your birth control you should really be using condoms. If you use your pills correctly there is no possibility that you will be pregnant.
