URGENT‼️‼️‼️ I know this is gonna sound really irresponsible and stupid, I’m so sorry I just need advice I already feel guilty enough, basically I missed a pill in my last pack last month and had unprotected sex , I still got my « period » and took a pregnancy test which was negative, this months pack I missed 2 pills in a row and had unprotected sex (keep in mind it says in my flo app that I’m on my third day ovulating) What are the risks of me being pregnant? I’m gonna take an emergency pill tomorrow but I’m so scared.

There is no point in using the flo app when you’re on birth control. As you can ovulate whenever you become unprotected, not based on when you bled. If you missed pills and failed to follow the instructions for missing pills then there is a chance you may get pregnant. Please use condoms and maybe talk to your doctor about swapping to a different method since it seems like a daily method may not be the one for you. A pregnancy test is most accurate 21 days after unprotected sex.

^ tests are accurate 3 weeks after sex, and I agree, in the future either use condoms when you’ve messed up taking your pill or switch to a less user error sensitive method of birth control. I also recommend you stop using flo when on BC, if you’re using the pill correctly you do not ovulate, if you use it incorrectly and become unprotected you may ovulate (but no way to know for sure) so those apps are completely inaccurate. Period tracking apps are only guesstimating at tracking ovulation even when you’re not on birth control, to accurately predict ovulation you need to be consistently tracking basal temperature and maybe also taking ovulation tests.
