hi so me and my boyfriend just had sex, and he pulled out a second too late. he only ejaculated a little in me before pulling out completely. should i be worried? i have been taking my pill (zelleta desogestrel) every single day. you can take it within 12hrs of the same time each day. but i try to take it no more than and hour and a half after 10am. anyway i was jsut wondering if i should be worried. i haven’t missed a single day with my pill since starting it back in november and it wasn’t a full load (sorry for details😭)

If you use your pills correctly you’re protected from pregnancy. If you don’t trust your pill you should really be using condoms because the pull out method does not work, live sperm still enters.

If you’re not using condoms you are already fully relying on the pill for pregnancy prevention. The pull out method is not very effective or reliable

@onthepillxox please check this before engaging in sex. Preventing is much more reliable

@onthepillxox if you’re using your pill correctly then it’s working. If you ever have any concerns or doubts then you should use condoms until you’re 100% comfortable and confident in relying only on your pill again.

@bluerose9 i am comfortable using my pill, and we pull out every single time anyway regardless just to be extra safe. i have autism so i jsut stress more about these things even though i know i’m okay because of my black and white thinking i like to check because i doubt everything lol

@Yi_eune i know, but i do use my pill correctly. but i also am neurodivergent so dont trust anything fully anyway hence me wanting to check

but it’s not extra safe to pull out, if you weren’t using birth control you could get pregnant just as easily on the pull out method, than if he finished inside you

@onthepillxo i know i didn’t mean it like that i just meant we pull out every item even though i AM on the pill

@onthepillxox I am saying you should check whether you’re okay before having sex, as preventing is much more effective. I have autism myself and if you don’t fully trust your pill you should really be adding condoms to your routine, as pulling out does absolutely nothing in terms of protection. If you you often struggle with overthinking and second guessing yourself I recommend seeking out a therapist that is specialised in overthinking and neurodivergence. They aren’t going to “fix” you but they can help you cope with these things and take back control. I did it myself and it helped a lot.
