did you wait till the 8th day?

you become protected after 7 FULL days so this would be when you took your eighth pill

if you did that and took your pills correctly it all sounds normal, you don’t have to bleed on your break week it’s just your body saying “where have the active hormones gone you were giving me??” it’s a withdrawal bleed x

7 days means 8 pills, so did you take 7 or 8 pills? You’re protected after you take the 8th. If you started within the first 5 days of your natural period you would’ve been protected immediately. If you used your pills correctly then it doesn’t matter whether you bleed or not. The bleeding you might experience during break weeks is also completely synthetic, it’s not an actual period. Bleeding doesn’t mean much, correct pill usage does. However I do recommend using condoms until you fully know what you’re doing with your birth control and are confident in its use and educated yourself about it more.

the lack of bleeding 2 days in is definitely not something to worry about on its own. my withdrawal bleeding almost always doesn’t start until i’m a few days into my placebo week. even if you don’t bleed at all that can also be okay. so if you’ve been taking your pills (and it was after 8 pills like others have said) correctly you should be fine. you can always take a pregnancy test for peace of mind

also worth noting that a pregnancy test is only accurate a few weeks after you may have gotten pregnant
