Does anyone have any good skin care products that have collagen? I get really bad cystic acne and I’m trying a new medical grade skin care routine that’s pretty basic to start off with (just cleanser, toner, spf, hydrochloric acid?) but I just feel I need something with collagen especially since the body can’t really digest it or whatever the word is. Thanks

It's true that collagen can't be absorbed as a whole molecule by the body, but for the same reason it can't be absorbed through the skin either. So skincare topical products with collagen are basically pointless. You're best focusing on sun protection if you care about collagen.

Are you putting 4 brand new products into your routine all at once? I’d really recommend not doing that. Introduce one new product every week, ideally every 2 weeks, to not overwhelm your skin and if you react badly to any of them, you’ll know which one it is.

@bluerose9 I went to a dermatologist and she gave them all to me as I didn’t have any routine so she gave me basics to start cleaning my face properly

@aurielle what do women do? Obviously when you hit menopause and stuff your body stops making it, so if it can’t be absorbed any how what do women do for collagen?

@Xoxoxaaa okay then maybe start with the cleanser and spf and wait while to incorporate the rest

TW: mention of alcohol and diet @Xoxoxaaa lifestyle changes so sun protection, limit alcohol and smoking, eating nutritious foods that help collagen production like fish and nuts. It's also a normal part of aging, and can't be fully avoided.

@bluerose9 I’m already like 2 months into all of that part; the cleanser toner spf and hyloric acid (can’t remember what it’s called lol)
