i’m on the combined pill and i accidentally missed a pill last night. took one on the 30th and missed one on the 31st. i took 3 weeks worth of combo pills prior to missing one by accident. can i safely continue taking them and still be protected? i know on the combo pill you can safely miss one. is that correct?

@chloe_poop what pill are you on? Most pills have a 24 hour time frame so if it was within 24 hours of when you were meant to take, it might not even be missed

You have a 24 hour window so if you took it before your next one was due it’s on time.

there’s 24 hours in between each pill on microgynon. so if you usually take it at 4pm monday (for my example) you take it at 4pm the next day (a tuesday) - 24 hours apart. as you have 24 hours to take the pill before it is classed as missed you have till 4pm on wednesday until it is a missed pill. so although it has been 48 hours in my example you weren’t due to take it till tuesday 4pm, and wednesday 4pm is only 24 hours after this. sorry if this doesn’t make sense i’m not *great* at articulating what i mean lol x

@onthepillxo ohhh okay. so in my case i took my pill at 11pm ish on the 30th, i didn’t take on on the 31st, i took the one i forgot on the 1st at 4pm, so is that not even classed as missed? i was meant to start my break week on the 31st so that’s why i didn’t take one and on the 1st i decided i wanted to skip this break week so that’s why i took it at 4pm on the first. so in my case is it missed or not even missed? sorry im just trying my hardest to understand lol x

@onthepillxo i don’t even know why im worrying so much. i don’t worry like this when i take my 4 day break week and i still have sex during that lol and this is just 1 day! not 4! crazy how my brain lets me worry lol

if you take it usually at 11pm then no it wasn’t missed. and you took it at normal time at 11pm as well the same day? so two in one day?

even if you had missed it you could count it as a one day break

@onthepillxo yeah it’s usually always around 11pm. so 11pm on the 30th, no pill on the 31st a pill at 4pm on the 1st and my other pill at around 11pm again on the 1st that’s what i’m saying to myself lol “i am okay it’s a 1 day break” but im a bigggg stresser lol

you never missed it you just took it late (but still in the timeframe so still protected)
