Desogestrel 75mcg Hi I take these every morning when I get up but during the day I still keep having bleeds? Is this just a side effect or is there something wrong with me? Unfortunately irregular bleeding is a very common side effect of the mini pill

🙄🙄🙄🙄 oh brilliant thank you very much for that. Well I spose it’s still not giving me the pain I used to have which is definitely still good but was kinda hoping less bleeding and this is being unpredictable at the moment I constantly make sure I got tampons with me incase random bleeds appear.

Using tampons of a higher absorbency than you actually need may lead to increased risk of toxic shock syndrome (TSS) (if you haven’t heard of it, it is a serious illness that needs urgent medical treatment as soon as you notice symptoms)

Obviously not for everyone but you could try a menstrual cup or disk if the bleeding is not enough for a tampon as these don’t carry a risk of toxic shock like a tampon does or alternatively you could try the period underwear
