So they don’t like him because he never comes to any family gatherings So just like the title says my family doesn’t like my boyfriend because he’s never been to any of my family gatherings. But we don’t have that many family gatherings to start with. He’s been tk weddings that has happened in the family and like a baby and a funeral that happened but other then that he hasn’t been to Christmas or Thanksgiving. He’s been to one Easter family gathering but that’s all. So how is he supposed to come around when we don’t have that many gatherings and he also has like Christmas gatherings for his family on the same day that my family has.

Is this the same bf that wanted to marry you last year? If so, I think your family seem like unreasonable people so I probably would just ignore their opinions on your relationship and keep them separate as much as possible. If it’s the same guy you were seeing that doesn’t reciprocate during sex & that’s still an issue then I also am not a fan of your bf either lol

@Awg1 yes it is Same bf that asked my dad for his blessing for marriage a year ago and dad said no because bf doesn’t make enough money according to my dad. So basically bf gave me the ring the other day, the one that he was going to propose with. And now I say that bf and I are engaged now because he gave me the ring. Now my dad and my family is saying that I should re think me saying yes to having the ring. And i wear the ring now, so my family isn’t supporting me being engaged or wearing the ring he was wanting to propose with.

Sounds like no matter what he does they’re not going to like him. Sounds like it’s time to live your life for you and make decisions for you, and stop focusing on pleasing your family. This is obviously not an easy decision or process.
