So I’m very attached to my hair, in the sense that I only cut it every 2 to 3 years. When I was little my grandmother used to obsess over it and always compared it to her mother’s hair. I feel like maybe that contributed to my attachment in having longer, thick hair. In the last year or so I’ve had a lot of thinning so kinda bummed about that and to cope I usually put my hair in a bun and hardly every let it down . It’s also long (but not as long as I’ve had it before) and at this point I can’t comfortably take care of it. Put it in a bun, knotted. Put in a pony tail, knotted. Brush it, knotted. I’m getting a cut tomorrow but idk how much I should get off. I don’t want to go short but I don’t want to just get a trim. Any opinions?

I’d say a little below the shoulders!

I had hair that was below my butt and it was a hassle to take care of. I cut it about to my shoulder blades and it’s made a huge difference. It’ll be a shock at first and it will feel super short even if it’s still a good length, but it’s worth it.

@xomaybell that’s what I ended up doing! I told my hair lady to take off 3 inches but she took off a lot more than that. It was supposed to be mid back length but now it’s bra line length but I love it!
