Currently been taking Jencycla 28 continuously for the last 5 months. I’ve been fairly regular on it and only had breakthrough bleeding in the beginning. My periods are due next week but I have experienced light spotting last night / this early morning. It’s very faint in color and is only visible when I wipe (and not every time). I’m a bit in a panic as im worried this is implementation bleeding. I’m 8M PP and not ready for a second atm. Last time I had unprotected sex was July 30, in my “fertile” window. I have been taking the pill +/- 1 hour of when I’m supposed to take it at the time (3 days before, 3 days after). Is it possible it failed me or this is something else? Is it also possible I’m going to get my periods earlier? Thanks for the input.

as long as you have been taking your pill correctly then you’re fine, breakthrough bleeding is normal

@onthepillxo even when it’s been ~5 months without? I find it perplexing.

new side effects can happen at any time no matter how long you’ve been on the pill for x

if you’re worried you can take a pregnancy test though, i take one monthly to be on the safe side- i still trust my pill fully though x

Side effects can pretty much happen whenever as long as you’re actively using medication. You’ll never become immune to anything x

Irregular bleeding is a very common side effect of the mini pill, as long as you’re using it correctly you’re fine
