For cat owners: has anyone ever had to switch their cat from free feeding to scheduled feedings? My senior girl has unexpectedly gained a few pounds in the past year and could do with losing a bit of weight (her metabolism is slowing down). She’s been free feeding her whole life so I’m not sure how to make the switch if I need to 😅

I had to schedule feed my cat for a while after surgery. I did 2-3 meals a day at the same times I fed my dog. I didn’t have a set type of food, as I tried combining dry food and wet food and alternating them, was more than enough.
