Is it normal to have bloody discharge and mild cramps while being on birth control again after 7 months of discontinued use. My bf came back to the country so I continued my pills. I’ve done this before too for 1.5 years and never experienced clotting when I started on it again. We haven’t done anything since he’s back. We tried to but it was unsuccessful due to mainly tissues tightening. I’m not sure what the bloody discharge means. Could it be break through bleeding?

My pill is a combination pill so in 7 days it says protected. I’ve taken mine on time for 12 days. Today’s the 13th day.

Yes it’s breakthrough bleeding but you really shouldn’t get off and get back on birth control so quickly because it can increase the risk of blood clots.

Yes as you’ve started it again you’re back in the adjustment phase of the pill, where you’re more likely to experience side effects like cramps, irregular bleeding, mood swings etc Especially as it can take 9 months or even longer to fully adjust off the pill, your hormones are probably all over the place rn

@bluerose9 yes my hormones are all over the place. Feeling over emotional and it doesn’t help cuz I have severe mental health issues such as BPD, GAD, OCD and depression. My OCD is bad too from lack of sleep and stress. Just images stuck in my head. I don’t know how to relax my body.
