been taking the combined pill continuously and havent missed a pill in the whole last pack or this one but last night i was so tired i went to bed without taking it!! i have been experiencing some spotting so im wondering if i should just start a break week? and if ill need back up protection?

A break might help or it could worsen the bleeding. There is no guarantee. If you use your pills correctly you don’t need condoms. Check your missed pill section for instructions but you can probably miss the pill and count it as a break day and continue as normal.

@Yi_eune my leaflet doesn’t have anything for continuous use but since I’ve taken more than 21 active pills I should be safe to start a break right? I just want to be sure
