i’ve only taken my birth control on time and i’ve been spotting for three weeks and now the spotting is bright red and sometimes itchy but before it was « normal » brown spotting so i’m really confused… does anyone know why this is happening?

You are experiencing breakthrough bleeding. This is very common while on birth control, brown blood is just oxidized blood.

does the discharge have a smell or different consistency to it

id consider a doctors appointment- it shouldn’t be itchy, that’s usually a sign of infection
