I’ve been using Alysena for 6 years and I’ve always had my period on the 3rd day of the sugar pill. I didn’t get my period last month or this month. Should I be worried?

If you’ve used your pill correctly, no.

Read your pamphlet. The Alysena pamphlet I found online says this: “…if two consecutive withdrawal bleeds are missed, tablet taking should be discontinued and a non-hormonal back-up method of contraception should be used until the possibility of pregnancy is excluded. Pregnancy must be ruled out before COC use is continued.” Check your pamphlet yourself and see if it’s the same as the one I found. If it is, take a pregnancy test to be safe. I wouldn’t be super worried if you take it correctly, but follow the instructions of your specific pill.

Sometimes over time that happens because one of the ways birthcontrol works is by thinning the lining of your uterus and sometimes you just stop bleeding because there’s nothing to bleed, if you’re using your pills correctly I wouldn’t worry

You can miss a bleed at any time, it doesn’t mean anything if you’re using it correctly. You don’t have to bleed.

Hey, I’ve been using a different pill for 9 years and I don’t get a withdrawal bleed. It can be safe and normal to not bleed, during the pill break especially if you’ve been taking it correctly. I wouldn’t worry too much but as someone else has said here, I’d do a pregnancy test just to rule that out. Take care!
