Does anyone know certain interactions with Nexplanon? I know there’s certain antibiotics, but am just curious if interactions are less likely with something that isn’t an oral contraceptive?

Yes there is !! - pharm assistant here 💗 certain medications can lessen your effectiveness of the nexplanon so just be careful and always tell the pharmacist you have it even for basic medications.

There is a fair lot of medications that could increase side effects, lessen efficacy and cause implications and interactions. 💋

It's pretty much the exact same medications that affect the pill: St. John's Wort, many Anticonvulsants, certain Antiretrovirals, Anti-TB medications like rifampicin and rifabutin, Ulipristal Acetate (Ella One EC) and griseofulvin.
